While all of this sounds just like Apple’s iMovie or Microsoft’s Movie Maker, neither of them offer any of the video correction features available in Magix Fastcut. The clips can then be edited and text and transitions can also be added. You can manually import video, photos, and audio tracks from the menu bar. The five available templates are already scored to get you done quickly, or you can forgo the assist and start from scratch. You can also edit videos directly on your camera. Magix Fastcut starts up quickly, lets you import your video and then offers users a handful of templates to use. Magix Fastcut is only available currently for Windows PC. While there are other easy to use video editing programs out there, Fastcut’s features set it apart from its competition, and though it’s geared for action cam users, this editing solution is suitable for almost any video source. In the spirit of action cams, it’s designed to be easy to use and allow you to make sure your editing sessions are nice and short. I'm happy with it and i'm recommending it anyone who isn't to serious about video editing and has the money for it when it's on sale.Magix has released a new video editing tool for GoPro and other action camera owners, aptly named Fastcut. Instead of paying for another year i'd rather buy this version and stick with it forever. Since i bought the original version last year, my "update-liscence" ran out and once i re-install the software i won't be getting the lastest update, since it's considered a new version. Now why did i bother getting this Steam-Version now?īecause of their policy with the Non-Steam Version. Now a month ago they've released another big update where you can now place your highlights on your clips.Įxample: I can mark a Teamkill or a slick play and it'll always be considered to show in the video.Īutomatic beat detection for creating your own templates was also added - it's cool but i didn't need it The given tools are pretty easy to use aswell. Granted I had to post-edit the result at the end but i was fine with that - afterall it wouldn't feel to personal if i would not have to do that. I've selected my latest clips, picked my own template and applied it a couple times until i had a satisfying result. That was allready more then enough for me. Which means that you can pick any song you wish and create it into a template. So i dropped it off until November/December i think where they've announced an update which allows you to create your own template. Granted you could use your own music but it was very tedious and any other software would do a better job. I thought i could choose use my own music of choice and it'd do everything for me by itself. Some were okay but i didn't really like the music and the results weren't always pleasing and repetitive most of the time. but what it really meant was that you could only select your clips and use a template which sucked ass imo. I bought it back then because it appealed to me when it said automatic editing. The results are okay and enough for me to proudly show it of to my buddys. Which is why Fastcut is more then enough for me. Promising and good updates past the yearġ0 years ago I used a pirated version of Sony Vegas and Premiere before and my videos weren't that good. Exports have pretty good picture and audio quality Pre-defined export settings (Mobile, Desktop (2k, 4k), Facebook/YouTube) Post-editing has enough tools for a decent montage It's literally clicking one button which can give you different video results Create your own template and re-use it any time Good (basicly the difference between this and the previous version): Included templates arn't for anyone who wants to upload an "unique montage" No Intro/Outro options for costum templates I'll do a quick list of good/bad things - if you're interested in the details i'll follow up with a text below: If you're looking for an video editing software where you don't have to do s**t for a decent result and not bother with all those export settings stuff then grab it when its price is reduced.īefore you buy it you should try out the free 30 days version on their Website. I've been using Fastcut for almost a year now and i'm still using it but.
