![]() ![]() If someone could just tell me the correct Track/Sync/Remote midi settings i have to adjust in Ableton. ![]() I'm at the point of guessing that it's broken. What's with the whole "easy to set up" thing they are bragging about? I've been trying and updating and setting since 3 days and it does not work at all. This setup wont work then since the clock in and midi in are not. Ableton is a pain in the ass period for getting audio and external midi tight, or at least as tight as I want it. Multiclock also has the ability to act as master clock outside of when using a computer. So yes, still would have to route it properly to your interface etc. The shift buttons on the mc does nothing at all. Never had any issue with the ERM multiclock with any other kit (in fact its just so. Multiclock uses a plug-in as well, that essentially outputs audio. I've set Abletons midi setting sync to the output (at least i'm guessing that you send the internal midiclock from ableton to the Multiclock and you change the midi note positions in the MC which sends the new corrected timing to my hardware). and an ordinary perturbation expansion ( one - time method ) will not work. I trigger the Multiclock through audio with the E-RM plugin and the Multiclock receives the tempo. Paper should prove of interest to all working on variational and extremal. My problem: I just bought an E-RM Multiclock and i hooked a Tr-8 via midi channel 1 (changed the internal setting in the TR-8 and it get's the midi information) a MAM MB33 on channel 2 (get's the midi info as well) and a Microkorg on channel 3 which is in sync with the TR-8 and the MB33 which means i routet the midi channel settings in the Multiclock correctly. ![]() Mostly for this sort of thing it's pretty straightforward with the MOTU device, set it and forget it.Hello, it's my first time posting something in a forum, i'll try to not waste anyones time but i really do need help here. To setup your Muticlock in an Ableton system, you would connect the Multiclock to your DAW. You've made me think about Bitwig again, Moss's work there for controller support is so good! The Multiclock is not a MIDI interface of any kind. i get round it by setting the black box internal clock to the same as my ERM, which is okay, but not ideal, as have to re-trigger every now and then as not exact. Look into Moss's great scripts for a ton of controllers, and specifically learn to use the Generic Flexi one to create "ports" in Bitwig for those sequencers, drum machines etc. Is anyone using an ERM Multiclock with Reaper For whatever reason I cannot get it to sync with Reaper. Never had any issue with the ERM multiclock with any other kit (in fact its just so reliable and easy), so thinking must be something in the blackbox set up im doing wrong. Clock Products multiclock midiclock Accessories modular whip brightside multiclock What power supply can I use for the multiclock You can use a power supply with an output voltage between 9V and 12V DC, 200mA and any polarity. Bitwig likes anything MIDI wise beyond a simple MIDI keyboard to be given specific commands. Frequently Asked QuestionsFind answers here. Specifically Beat Clock is the normal way to go here, some external sequencers (which you didn't name! ) might be able to use MTC, that would be in their manuals. I've got a Beatstep Pro and Launchpad Pro MKIII here, both sync with Bitwig quite well, but you have to create a Control Surface port for them. This structure enables ERM employees to support projects across different geographies to meet client needs while also deepening their own professional experience. Bitwig actually does this slightly better than Digital Performer. Then set the Multiclock to external sync and when you press play in the DAW, the Multiclock starts up the MIDI synced gear in time with the audio recorded in the DAW. Having the daw just send MIDI clock via usb MIDI to the MIDI interface is not working, it needs to be more accurate. You patch that output to the clock in audio jack on the back of the Multiclock. The daw can take care of latency if I am just playing MIDI notes, but when I want the daw to play nicely in sync with external hardware that needs MIDI clock it gets ugly fast. the best solution is something like ERMs Multiclock, which generates its own sync. So I got a new macbook m1 pro for the studio and want to have my daw (bitwig) as a master to sync VST insruments and stuff ITB with external MIDI hardware such as drum machines, external sequencers, effects boxes and synths that need MIDI clock for syncing lfos and delays, etc. Its so easy to get Live working with your favourite drum machine. I have been mostly hardware based but have recently been trying to set up a hybrid system (daw is just so convenient). ![]()
